The AB Boys Club empowers boys to be responsible, respectful, and compassionate through a curriculum on gender equality, substance abuse prevention, and ethical leadership. Aiming to establish clubs, conduct activities, expand reach, strengthen mentorship, and advocate for policy changes, the club fosters respect and integrity for generations.

Our mission is to empower boys to be responsible, respectful, and compassionate individuals who champion gender equality, reject substance abuse, prevent sexual violence, demonstrate ethical leadership, and foster community integrity.

Our Goals

Short-Term Goals (1-2 Years)

Establish the AB Boys Club, recruit members, develop a comprehensive curriculum covering responsibility, respect, drug awareness, sexual violence prevention, leadership, and ethics. Conduct regular meetings, workshops, and activities to engage members. Forge partnerships with local organizations for support, monitor progress, and seek feedback for improvement.

Long-Term Goals

Expand the AB Boys Club’s reach to additional communities, strengthen mentorship and leadership development, implement sustainability measures, advocate for policy changes, and celebrate achievements. Through these goals, the club aims to make a lasting impact on boys and communities, fostering a culture of respect, equality, and integrity.

Our Process

Needs Assessment

Conduct a needs assessment to identify challenges faced by boys, including responsibility, respect for women, drug abuse, sexual violence, leadership, and corruption.

Club Structure and Leadership

Establish a club structure with designated roles and responsibilities, appointing experienced individuals as coordinators and mentors to guide and support members.

Curriculum Development

Develop a comprehensive curriculum covering responsibility, gender equality, drug awareness, sexual violence prevention, leadership, and ethics, with engaging activities for club members.

Recruitment and Outreach

Collaborate with local institutions to recruit boys from diverse backgrounds and conduct outreach activities to generate interest in the club.

Training and Capacity Building

Offer training for facilitators and mentors on communication, mentorship, child protection, and conflict resolution, along with workshops for members on self-esteem, communication, decision-making, and conflict resolution.

Program Implementation

We aim to advocate for policy changes supporting girls’ rights against gender-based violence and early marriage, promoting gender equality.

Monitoring and Evaluation

The Toronto Catholic District School Board (TCDSB) works with the Toronto Student Transportation Group (TSTG) to provide transportation for qualifying children.

Community Engagement

Encourage community involvement and support through partnerships, organizing projects and awareness campaigns to address social issues and promote change.

Sustainability Planning

Develop a sustainability plan, explore funding opportunities and partnerships, and foster ownership among members and stakeholders to sustain the club’s impact.

Celebration and Recognition

Celebrate achievements through events and showcase the club’s impact to fulfil its mission under the AB Girl Child Foundation.
